The Album

This album kind of happened by accident. Even though my life seemingly got busier and busier, I was never able to stop producing beats and writing. I had a track or two that started in Minneapolis which didn’t really come together until I moved to San Francisco. Then over the few years I had been living out here I wrote a couple more tracks.

I went into the studio with 5 fully realized songs that Eli and I worked to make better. The rest of the album was written and produced sort of on the fly, I don’t want to point out which tracks were created earlier and which were created later since I can’t really tell myself and I don’t want to cheapen anything from this project.

This is the album I wanted to make when I first stepped foot into a studio 10 years ago. That’s not meant to take away from anything I did in the past, since the Cenospecies project was in it’s own right a really great project. This is just my plot in the now enormous landscape of rap, I hope I didn’t dig my own grave.
